Science library was established at Kharkiv Aviation Institute"KhAI" in 1930.Over 77 years of its existence, the library has formed a unique collection of natural science, technical, humanitarian, socio-economic background, ill-divine literature to assist educational and research process. 

           

    All the activities of the library relies on a rich tradition in the field of library and bibliographic services, the use of innovations in the field of information support of science and higher education, highly qualified staff. NTB, above all, contributes to high quality teaching and research university by creating, organizing, storing the library fund and providing it for use by students, staff and alumni of the University, as well as other users.

 

National Aerospace University "Kharkiv Aviation Institute"(KhAI )Staff - 64 people. The library includes 3 ticket, season tickets for scientific, educational literature, four reading rooms, 18 points in the departments of library and dormitories. Annually serves more than 13.5 thousand readers: students, faculty and staff of the university. They are given about 660 000 thousand copies. documents.

 

Currently, the library fund is about 900 thousand copies. volumes on various branches of knowledge. The Fund includes scientific and educational literature, including periodicals, foreign literature, information and abstract journals in print and electronic media, dissertation, thesis abstracts, regulatory, technical and patent documents, rare books.

 

Each year the fund received more than 12 thousand copies. new literature and more than 330 titles of periodicals.

 

The library uses an automated library information system "UFD". The electronic catalog is a single repository, updated in real time. Readers are available as an electronic catalog.
